Our youth engage in team-based service experiences that build life and work skills, while inspiring a lifetime ethic of service.

Our program runs all year and we offer at least 70 opportunities to actively engage in the community, which includes a full summer camp-style experience that are either free or at minimal cost.

We work with over 45 organizations across Racine County and provide opportunities that include STEM, volunteerism, vocational learning and unique experiences.

Our focus is on providing various opportunities for youth from all walks of life and abilities to be able to give back, learn and access experiences they wouldn’t normally have access to.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Youth Volunteer Corps, please contact Sarah Webb, Program Director.

Welcome Tyler!

New YVC Volunteer Coordinator!

〰️

Welcome Tyler! New YVC Volunteer Coordinator! 〰️

Please welcome our latest addition to the Youth Volunteer Corps of Racine crew, Tyler Townsend! We are so excited to have our first Volunteer Coordinator who will work with Sarah Webb to run the YVC group!

We were introduced to Tyler while we were both aiding the survivors of the Parkview Apartment fire. After seeing his heart, we were overjoyed to learn he was also interested in helping to make a difference in the community through the youth! It was a perfect match and we are thankful he jumped right in.

Tyler is a lifetime Racine resident who knows firsthand what it means to live, work and volunteer in the area. He graduated from Park High School in 2017 and is currently the Chief Engineer for The Stella Hotel and Ballroom in Kenosha. He loves the outdoors and learning new skills. Lately, he has picked up the art of 3D printing!

He said, "Recently I've been trying to get involved in the community and thought Youth Volunteer Corps of Racine would be a great place to start after seeing some of the many great things they do."

We agree Tyler and hope you enjoy all the activities and learning experiences with the Youth Volunteer Corps and thanks again for joining our team!

Summer Camp 2024 is almost here! We are so excited to offer a full summer camp experience this year and look forward to rolling out all the amazing opportunities to serve, educate and learn.

GENERAL INFO

Opportunities are for all youth ages 11-18 unless otherwise notated in the event itself.

Please read registration dates carefully and only sign up if you intend on actually showing up. Spots are limited and we want to provide camp to everyone that we can. There are also a few weeks where camp is only partial days.

We will NOT have camp the week of July 1, 2024 to July 5, 2024 as this is Fourth of July week.

All opportunities have open registration but final confirmation of attendance will be emailed by Program Director Sarah Webb directly.

This is different from our regular monthly event sign ups so please wait for final confirmation email that comes from Sarah.

FOOD
Lunch is NOT provided unless otherwise instructed by the opportunity. Please bring a bag lunch if event happens during a mealtime. Please also bring a water bottle.

PARENT EXPECTATION
We expect drop off and pick up to be on time. All parent/guardians need a working phone to contact in case of emergency. We reserve the right to remove any youth from the program if drop-off/pick-up is not respected or if we cannot reach the parent on multiple occasions.

Please note: you must have a parent/guardian sign our registration + waiver form before you are able to volunteer.

If registration is full, please contact Sarah Webb to be added to the waiting list.
